I just clicked on a post and it was removed - not sure why an anonymous layoff board would have moderators removing the content

Always been modded. It's all over the place.
Months ago there was a large thread with the anti-DEI brigade. Most comments against them were deleted, and a few of theirs. A week later, the mods went the other direction in another thread.
It's their court, their ball.

The site has its rules. If you break them, the mods will delete your posts. It's really not complicated. Check the rules to see what is allowed and what is not. From my experience, stuff like too much swearing, vulgarities, names and/or initials of anybody below the very top, political/religious/racist/etc. posts, and other off-topic posts and spam are forbidden.
Websites can be held responsible for the content other users post. Anything that puts them at risk of lawsuits is be removed.
I have also noticed threads disappearing over the past week. Seems like it’s being heavily moderated lately…not sure of the criteria, though.
I responded to a comment earlier telling the other commenter to f___ off because they used an ethnic slur. Then that comment vanished.
So if other messages are vanishing, it could be because they contain similar sorts of bs.
