My insecure boss terminated me for “performance issues” when in reality she was insecure. Me speaking up was a threat to her power and used a false narrative to get rid of the threat by pushing me out. An insecure boss will manipulate you behind the scenes to convince your coworkers and HR that you are the problem. I’ve started my new job at different company and I can tell you that the grass IS greener on the other side. I’m a lot happier! Good luck to those still at this terrible company!

So what departments or teams are safe and good here in Austin?
Big a--holes at this company
There are some good groups and managers and many many bad. Applied is also a very political place with some incredibly rude egotistical people; many of which are laughably technically and managerially inept and behind the times. Some have no concept of ethics and basic honesty. Some true Dilbert cartoons in real life. Some groups have no business even existing and I’m certain will fail.
The key thing for current Applied employees is to find those few good managers and transfer to them or to plan to leave to a company where one can find them.
There are good companies so don’t assume they will be like Applied.
Very interesting. My executive Director did the exact same thing. Director was mad for me applying for other positions within the company. Very toxic environment and worst politics then any company I’ve ever worked for. Top performer in the company during my entire at Applied. Narrative was pushed to coworkers and HR to manage employees out. I’ve noticed that applied is a lot of talk With little follow-through. The FTO su-ks because if you take it some of your coworkers and executive management, think you are abusing the system, even if you’ve only taken two weeks the whole year.

That is the problem when you promote people who are neither intelligent or knowledgeable. Everyone can see it. It is like introducing cancer into a body.
Eventually its effect will be felt.
Anywhere is better than this he-l hole
