There are a lot of R&D guys in China that I have worked with for many years, but they have been laid off last month .Isn't China a low-cost region? Why are so many people being laid off?
The employee I handed over told me that China was laying off 25% employees this year. So I want to ask what is the logic of this layoff?
Qcom sees the writing on the wall wrt to china market. China already banned gov. Employees from using foreign phones. Next move is divest from china and invest in India. Qcom has millions of square feet of real estate in India under construction. More jobs from china and US will move.
