What do you guys think ? I feel like mechanical department has too many people now. Especially with less managers.

More mechanical laid off really all they have had it derailments since he has taken over.

It is confirmed from Union reps that no more layoffs for this year in mechanical department. Now 2024 is a different story. Layoffs in mechanical department agreement employees is based on locomotives placed on storage. Look out for that number.
It should be federal law that no railcar should make any audible sound from a flat wheel.
When unqualified employees are fixing (not) and inspecting Equipment (not) those same employees are going to be the ones that will lose limbs and life's because of JUST DOING MY JOB! When they are doing someone else's jobs.

All of the hot wheel alerts, hot bearing defects, and locomotive issues prove different. We need more mechanical people.

@OP-Why do you feel that there are too many mechanical employees? We all contribute to the everyday operations of the railroad. Please explain why you want mechanical employees to lose their jobs.
