Does anyone know how many people were laid off on 10/31?

It's become a confusing workplace where the employees and some managers are still trying to figure out who still works here and who doesn't. HA and PS are not helping anyone. TM cancelled his dog and pony all-hands show.

8% globally is over 600 employees. Was that the layoff totals this round?

Does anyone have a layoff effective date 60 days from the meeting with HR?

Word is anyone laid off have a list of role, location, and age of everyone laid off.

Friends and family of ELT are protected and moved to new role before the lay off. If they are on the fence with ELT, they are encouraged to apply for newly created roles that they will mention. Otherwise, if they don't want to see you face again. they might say you're eligible but nothing else.

The reality is if you apply, they will not even consider you so why bother now that you know how they feel about you.

Yes - It was 8% globally.
With some of those people applying for newly created roles.

Several were RIFed in sales in California and others in different states so not really accurate that they are avoiding RiFing folks based on location. I would say it is more based on other factors.

I know of a few instances where 2+ people were in the same role prior to 10/31. Turns out the non-California resident or even non-American resident were the ones impacted by the layoff last week while the Californian in the same role was spared.

I doubt this is a coincidence.

Teradata is to report layoff numbers so WARN events can be accounted for. Layoff's numbers is public information.
Teradata has not done so in last few years even with layoffs happening every quarter.

https://edd.ca.gov/en/jobs_and_training/Layoff_Services_WARN/ has all layoffs reported for all companies in California.
