NVIDIA pays an average base of $140,000 to $150,000 to new hires at IC1, while Intel pays a grade 7 technical base pay of $150,000 in the Bay Area. I respect every job, but it looks like instead of us competing with peers to retain or attract talent, our compensation is competitive at the level of jobs at IN-N-OUT and fast food chains, food delivery lol

I saw an ad for police salaries ranging from 120-200k in bay area. It really made me consider for a few seconds.

Difference between a genuinely growing and leading company, and a struggling and lagging company. Intel, though, is still the best pay master in the smaller locales.
