Thread regarding Truist Bank layoffs

Trying to function on two hours of sleep

That's all I managed last night. This is horribly stressful and it can't be good for either our mental or physical health. At least we can take comfort in knowing it will be done by the end of this week. I'm not optimistic enough to believe it will all be done today.

And btw those complaining about returning to work are all over this Truist section. Time to try to not engage in group think. I know it’s almost impossible, but try. Yawn.

Can always tell the ages of posters when they drop f bo--s and use the racist label of “boomer.” Please define what makes a boomer. Bet you don’t know the truth. The future of our country is truly pathetic with people like this.

Now little basement dwellers negative vote away. You are so tiresome and boring. Yawn.

Hang in there. I am in the same boat, a couple of hours of sleep and very stressed out. It'll work self out, if you are religous - pray, if not - meditate. Good luck to all.

@ “If I owned a business” Boomer. Show me on this thread where someone is complaining about RTO. You cannot. Shocking that someone with your mentality paints with broad strokes like that. Take your self righteous BS back to your Facebook echo chamber. Leave the rest of us alone.

You talk a big game under anonymity. You’re nothing but a prankster, studio gangster, buster.

I can't stand these rude comments about growing up and getting over it. It's literally human nature to be uncomfortable with uncertainty. And it's disrespectful for a company to keep you in the dark, constantly move their layoff dates closer and closer to the holidays, and not give you answers. It's not coping with life, it's coping with a sh---y company.

And btw, YOU are doing that to yourself. If I owned a business I would never hire people like you. Freaking out over something you can’t control and needing a safe space to go smoke weed while su-king your thumb all while whining about having to work in an OFFICE.

This is just BS. How pathetic people have become.

If it is true, pull your darn pants up and for once act like an adult. “I only got two hours of sleep!) 🙄 Then your mommy didn’t teach your how to cope with LIFE.

Nobody knows when it will be! I don’t think the executives even know.

You can’t control what you can’t control. You just have to make sure you have a plan to survive financially if you do get RIFed and evaluate what you’re next steps are going to be in your job search.

It’s not going to be done this week. The next round is Dec 13/14.

Please know you are not alone. Many of us are experiencing anxiety as well - I wish I was more optimistic, but I don't even think it'll all be over with this week. The unknown is the worst; I wish they'd just let us know one way or the other. Dragging it out is awful. I hope you - and all of us - get relief from the stress soon.
