2K employees being RiF’d ?
Lot of emotion we all understand, but few precise numbers to analyse.
Across Geos and Orgs, it’s time to come with numbers to rate the amplitude of the horrible and unprecedented massacre that has taken place.?
We heared Partner Execs being dismantled, ICs tore down, Tech Sales wiped out, Account Execs butchered. But how much ? Those who know should tell.
It’s time to go further than pure emotion and see the actual scale of the disaster.

It does not matter how many this time, it is continuous and they are stringing everyone along as long as they can.
They got rid of people who provide diverse views to challenge them. They are insecure and afraid of getting exposed.
“ It was only ~200, or ~3%.”
The quarter is young. I assume many more will have a very bad Christmas.
“Customer face to face”? Well you need customers for that and Teradata does not have any!

AI jobs likely smoke and mirrors for the sake of investor perception. Let’s see if these role actually get filled on the org chart.
I'm just finding out who was eliminated last week. Yes the numbers are big, but some of the talent gone spells big trouble for particular teams. Across the organisation, they got rid of long term, experienced, smart and very capable staff who run rings around the ELT in terms of performance. Staff that actually dealt with the customer face to face, would present at conferences, could navigate the myriad of internal processes to get a quote out the door. Now all gone.
Now when you look at the AI roles they have put up on the portal, the roles are junior roles. No one is going to go for these roles. It shows that they aren't serious in AI at all.
Hiring AI and ML ? Let’s be serious ! Who would really know AI and join TD ?
Only desperate AI losers would pay attention to (inexistant) TD AI job offers. AI is definitely not happening in the wet and damp basement’ where TD struggles to make a living. AI is rocking on the upper floors where selected guests enjoy a wonderful view over the bay. TD’s too boor to be invited.
"The reorg was part of a reorganization to add headcount for ai and ml teams."
Seriously? Excuses excuses, how many more you have ready for next layoffs?
Each time one of these DEI hire id--t mismanage, either take away their bonuses, RSUs, or fire their a$5 and use the fund to add the headcount.
We can't afford the same grifters continuously waste our time and money with their mistakes and get to keep their job while the workers get punished.
The reorg was part of a reorganization to add headcount for ai and ml teams.
It was less than 10%. Public Companies have to report layoffs larger than that.
