Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Seeing that the management has a good expectation for next year, will there be any layoffs?

According to the latest 10-Q financial report document, there is no information about layoffs. The management has raised the sales forecast, everything is developing in a good direction, and there should be no more layoffs next year. Right?

There will be a performance related lay off.
There may be shuffling and restructuring of departments and BUs as low performing projects are defunded.
Depending on the Q1 sales and Stock performance, there may be a lay off announced in March, notifications in May. The problem is performance is dependent on the economy showing signs of improving in the election year. If this doesn’t happen, more jobs will be cut. Ultimately it doesn’t matter how hard anyone works, it’s really up to whether or not the world’s economy shows signs of improvement.

Wrong. You will start to see more layoffs in the coming months and years as AI takes over more jobs and outputs more revenues and profits for the company (executives and shareholders). Why do you think the UAW was striking? They want to make sure not only they get paid fair wages but also to make sure their jobs aren't taken over by robots and AI.
Life is about to get tough for many next year as unemployment starts to climb as seen in this past Friday's job report.

As long as there are incompetent senior directors there, there will be layoffs. WCT raises lots of mo--nic Senior directors who don’t do anything but having meetings, they should go to dating show or whatever have endless meetings lol
