Walgreens is renaming itself to ExpressScripts 2.0. At least the executive team will be.
Hopefully our new CIO can only improve our technology. Be it internal or customer facing, much of what we have is antiquated and unreliable. Instead of fixing the root causes of technology failures, Walgreens uses bandaids a workarounds or offers empty apologies to patients and customers. Hard to compete with outdated technology and inefficient processes.
We all need more details on Sample's previous failures!! Walgreens cannot afford another Wang.
Your new CIO was fired from his last job for overspending by about $50 million then hiding it from the CEO and board. Good luck.
