GE Vernova to lease 77,000 square foot space next to Truist Park

A soon-to-be spun off portion of the General Electric Co. will be moving next door to the Atlanta Braves’ home base in Cobb County.

GE Vernova, which will be splitting off from General Electric in 2024, will lease a 77,000 square-foot space through 2036, according to Piedmont Office Realty Trust, the owners of the property.

The move for GE Vernova, which manages all of the company’s power and energy operations, comes as GE splits into three companies next year, focused on healthcare, energy, and aerospace, a GE Vernova spokeswoman told Channel 2 Action News.

As a result of the agreement, GE Vernova will move into 600 Galleria Parkway in Cobb County, a designated LEED-Gold property and part of Piedmont in Atlanta’s Galleria on the Park.

GE Vernova will turn the office space into one of its company hubs, according to officials.

Well it’s not enough to hole 273 but they can ship that to Canada and make some nice office space I would think.

It's enough room for my lemonade stand. That's all I care about. I need a little more room for my side hustle.

The problem started when they consolidated all the offices in Atlanta into 4200 and the cubes were pocket size. Nobody liked the new cubes and Covid happened, so people worked from home. 4200 was a ghost town even after some events to bring people back to the office. The last 2 times, there were less than 100 people in 4200 and no catering for meetings. Hopefully the new building will have food services available for customer meetings and make events in the evening easier. Overall an expected cost saving move and should be an improvement.

77k sqft is not enough to “close” anything down.

This means nothing to the future of Schenectady. 300 new production/salary jobs in 2 years with a wind turbine division in Schenectady. The hiring continues and Schenectady once again is staying alive and growing.

Don't worry. China will be in charge in the future. GE will just keep a percent.
