Thread regarding Optum layoffs

Lame. Uninspiring. Failure of leadership.

A series of town halls and leadership calls the past couple of weeks demonstrates the vapid garbage leading this company. "Growth" is the agenda for 2024. No, really? Did you guys go on a golf retreat to come up with that one? Optum is innovative? How so? The company hasn't invented a goddam thing since the beginning of time, except huge profits. Which is great, but this is the best we have after fu--ing over thousands of employees? Sir Witty is pretty witless in reality.

Reckless leadership. They don’t care or want a long term plans for themselves. Whistleblowers please.

Do you see any communication from leadership on RIF or outsourcing? Direct or indirectly? They owe an explanation.

Let’s be honest about what’s happening. Billions of dollars in over coding revenue going away and margins declining (just look it up) and new Optum Health leadership telling Wall Street they can turn it around. But they can’t. They could layoff the entire company and still not make up the dollars. Fancy PowerPoints and rah rah can’t make up for the fact that they haven’t actually tried to take better care of patients in a long time. Just code code code. New leadership pulled this same cr@p at their old company. Cut cut cut and the hire people with no experience. Not going to work this time but keep it up with quality and looking forward together blah blah.

What about 30-40 years of Santelli/Doddy legacy? Gone in few weeks…something is terribly wrong.

Leadership is scared of experienced folks. It’s insecurity mixed with outsourcing philosophy, it will bite them like IBM fiasco.
