Thread regarding VMware layoffs

Whether the deal goes through or not - you're screwed either way

Broadcom sent out letters to individuals based on recommendation from senior leadership of your BU.

So, if you're someone who's not received an offer (in eligible country) then you're screwed anyway if you the deal doesn't go through.

Your BU leadership has already decided that they can do without you in an independent VMware.

What about the re-badged employees? Don't you think that rebadged employees would get notices after close of acquisition?

I wouldn't have gotten a letter if this were true. Where are you getting the idea that they were based off recommendations?

VMware is screwed because many of the letters that went out are keeping corrupt people due to nepotism. Broadcom was evidently not able to figure out who is a good worker and who is a bad one before the acquisition. So a lot of rot and corruption got letters. VMware is done either way. Time to start figuring out how to help customers who have too much VMware!
