Why would you want to be a part of this subpar team?
From the top to the bottom, not who's who but who wanna be who. They failed at previous companies and are 1st timers in their current role, learning on the job. They are not fit for the real job at hand. Even the SVP of engineering, friend of CEO to keep CPO in check, admitted that the company don't hire top tier people at all levels and only B rated performers, including himself.
They've failed at their chance to turn this place around and now are scuttling the ship being the grifters that they are. No one with knowledge, experience, and integrity wants anything to do with them.
If you are competent and sign up to do their bidding, you will be lumped with them and inherit their ineptitude, lack of moral compass, and reputation. Do what you must do to save yourself because they will come for you sooner or later. Layoffs are what they keep them employed.
