Thread regarding VMware layoffs

If the deal is off what happens to EUC? Does it still get spun off from VMW?

I'm guessing most here are not in EUC and have no idea what it generates. Try $1B a year. Not small. They bring in the money for sure. And very good margins.

LOL EUC a Cash Cow then why would it be spun off? Let’s buy something and spin off the cash cow and keep the underperforming businesses.

Because it’s never really fit into VMware’s strategic plans. A spinoff has been publicly discussed for years.

Since they want to divest EUC and they are able to spin it off , EUC must be cash cow and revenue generating.

Probably will still get spun off, which is good for EUC, and bad for VMware as they’ll lose the revenue that EUC brought that is propping up core and some of the failing BUs.

Think VMW would have to recover debt. Feel bad for the EUC folks they are just a pawn if it goes either way.
