Raghu said they had a "Plan B" if the deal fell through, but didn't provide any details.
Since waiting around to find out what is happening is maddening, let's have some fun and speculate on what Plan B is.

Plan B isn’t owned by Raghu. It’s Michael Dell. If this fell through, my guess is sell to a large PE firm who takes VMW private and dismantles it in a way not dissimilar to the Broadcom plan. Increase profitability etc and focus on core competencies only.
What public company would pay even close to 69B?
Who is Raghu?
This is one catch phrase from The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People that he must have missed.
Trust is the glue of life. It’s the most essential ingredient in effective communication. It’s the foundational principle that holds all relationships.

Wow, that is so freaky.
Change the name to "Elastic Sky" ESX or "Ground Swell" GSX
Stephen Covey, the author of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, coined the phrase “The main thing is to keep the main thing the main thing”.
Magoo is just repeating it for the last 20 years
Plan B is for him to take a shít in his diaper.
Okay. Can anyone confirm Magoo’s reference to a plan B. If so, was any detail provided? God I hope this closes
When/where did Raghu say this? I haven't heard of anything from execs let alone a plan B
You will be asked to focus on the NEW Main Thing
We all know that Intel offered to buy VMware at a much cheaper price during the shop-around period
What do you expect him to do, tell the truth?
"We have no effing idea what to do now. And we're to make a plan. We're spending all our time trying to cancel real estate deals, find out if we can get our yacht deposits back, and looking into how to legally change our name and erase our history with VMW from the internet so there's some hope of fining a job later."
"We have a Plan B" is a lie just like "The BC acquisition will be good for employees and customers" and "the check's in the mail."
When did Raghu say he had a Plan B? I have not seen that, and it sure doesn't seem like he does.
Sale to Vista equity, disassembled under Cloud Software Group as a BU alongside Citrix. Goal would be to reduce customer options in EUC.
They don’t get CIC money, but that was just extra gravy on top of their already outsized compensation. No leaders in a company should be getting 100s of times more comp than the average employee.
Serious question - Do the execs still get their same multimillion $$$ packages if the deal doesn't close?
@bpu+1pos5mza - "Costco bulk diaper purchase" - OMG I'm laughing so hard
Cosco bulk diaper purchase and one way ticket to any where but the here and now. God, I hope this transaction closes
B is for "bail."
Xware indeed.. customer are running from our portfolio.
And Magoo has no plan b. He does what he is told
Trolling aside I think it is to implement what BC was going to do. Start to lay people off and try to become more profitable so they can be bought by another suitor. Michael Dell isn't going to just stop being the ring leader he still is majority shareholder and he wants to get paid.
OCTO and Kit will implement skinny jeans and converse Fridays for the whole company
Plan B is Order 66, remove the leadership and install new sock puppets.
Raghu will tell us to focus on the main thing even more than we have
Plan B is Magoo selling crumpled shirts in a new online biz and selling his new book entitled “focus on the main thing”.
The world tour starts soon, buckle up.
I think we already saw it, they hired Train and had a farewell concert. Shut off the lights on the way out
Sell the company to Elon, and change the company's name to Xware
