We all know for the ELT this is probably their last gig in their career so they are trying to make it worthwhile. The next role they apply for they'll be laughed out of the interview room.
Its at this stage that they'll realize the failed individuals that they really are.
They will get their bonuses, or have their personal make up artist, have allowances for clothing hire for one certain ELT. Marketing hamstrung. 2024 wont look great. I heard from a sales colleague, there is little new business coming in across the EMEA region.
As long as the cut the bottom line to disguise the year on year shortfall in revenue so the shareholders attaint a return they don’t care. Bonus attained for another year, and a target list identified for the next one which more than likely will be Q1 next year. This is the third round of riffs this year so when people say it’s the norm, it worrying that the frequency has increased.
If they have a soul or any integrity, they'd resign before announcing another layoff. After so many, there's lack of credibility, trust, respect. But then ELT are ghouls and so no souls.
