I can't be the only one who saw these layoffs as an opportunity to leave Staples behind for good. Even if the severance is not all that good, it's better than leaving without anything. I'm genuinely disappointed I'm still here while somebody who probably was hoping to stay is out.

Im sure they will close half the stores by start of next year
And it feels so much better to leave in your own terms. Trust me on that! Grass is greener and all companies are not like what Staples became.
if you are that unhappy...just leave. have some courage and conviction to do something for yourself instead of waiting for someone to do it for you
Job market is strong go on your own terms and if you don’t want to stay you own that choice. Waiting for severance is weak be strong and stop taking advantage of a job you don’t value.
