I got cut this morning. People say there's an HR backlog and many more are still pending.

There certainly is a HR backlog. Simply not enough Indians to cover the workload.

The fun part is dealing with them. They are so under stress at the moment and they don't have negotiation skills so it's very easy to have fun with them on the way out the door. If you've been riffed have fun with their stupidity.

A swarm of fake news in EMEA. RIF numbers unknown and exaggerated. Tech sales, AEs, ICs, partners execs, Mkting not hit as violently as said. Rumors. In UK, Germany, France, Nordics, Italy, Spain, no precise number. Who knows and could tell the very true truth ?

Unfortunately this is inherent in the culture of the organisation driven by the strategy of the ELT. SMc aka 'David Brent', HA aka 'I've got my head in the clouds' , JW aka 'let's market the Im-Possible', TC aka 'Go To the job Market' and MH aka 'Lack of Customer Success' lack leadership through poor strategy.

They have layoff quota they need to achieve to collect their bonuses.

Notice that they can't get rid of everyone, especially long timers, at once, so they are spreading the firing across many quarters to not get attention of age discrimination and systematic dismantling of the company.
