When Dell acquired VMware, VMware was still it's own company. With the BC accusation, will VMware be split up and merged with BC. Sounds like PSO ect will be moved to HCL, will the rest just be VMware by BC?

What is the difference now vs when VMware became a Dell company?
Somewhat more competent management.
Decidely more competent development teams.
Way, fewer H1B people milling about.
MD is just a temporary owner of vmw. He's been trying to exit for a long while. BC is the only serious buyer as FTC will block any other cloud company from buying vmw. So probably vmw will muddle along for the time being. Things with FTC will probably change after the 2024 election and a new regime? China is not going to approve BC. In the long run we are all dead.
VMware has been technically an independent entity since the IPO, but with 85% majority shares held, first by EMC and later by Dell, giving them each controlling interest successively.
The past few years have confirmed something I heard around the time of the Dell?EMC deal: the most dangerous place to be in a deal is on Michael Dell's side of the table.
You have no idea what you are talking about.
When Dell acquired VMware, VMware was still it's own company.
Patently false.
vmware originally sold to EMC.
Then Dell bought EMC.
Folks, remember who is pulling the strings here....
Michael Dell and Silverlake
They will do whatever it takes to get their $26B payout from the deal
Everyone else is just one of the pawns being moved around the board - including Mr Tan
I used to work for VMware for 6 years.. This just feels VERY different.
confirmed u re not from vmware asking question that only internal folks know. which competitor are u from to create this post.
Nobody knows for sure on either part of your question.
