I wonder if Sycamore Partners laughed when the new tag line rolled out. They don't treat Staples employees like they are human. I'm so sorry to all those negativity impacted today. Hopefully this forced change will turn out to be something great for you. I left the company two years ago, and I've never been happier! Just know there is life after Staples! Not all companies are so stressful to work for. Good luck to you all!

Yes, and after all these good people were let go, they will call on a general meeting to tell the ones who stayed, "you are here because you are the best!".
What BS! The ones who stayed is because they get paid less. 18 years with Staples and have seen it all, the SLT are all scared, doing what Lederer and Sycamore tell them to do without having a clue on how to treat customers. Poor customers, they will get inexperienced people who won't fight management to do what is best for the customer. My poor customers, but give me time, I will take them with me because I did care for them. It was me, I was the one who was HUMAN, not business, NOT Staples for sure!

Every begging of the holiday season starts with high anxiety. This seems to be their MO fire people with families and obligations to save money before the end of their fiscal year at the end of January. Meanwhile John lederer has no problem delegating blame and keeping his large salary. If it were a sports team that is constantly loosing and a poor culture the head coach would be the first to go. Be a man John step down and I admit you have failed .
