The HR employee that advised me of my layoff also said “there’s 750 more Managers, 2300 craft and 9 locations that will also be let go”.
This is gonna be worse than 2019. Good luck, you’ll need it.

Not a 'manager', but I got laid off today from OMHQ.
I think there official statement was “less then 5%”. However many that is.
I would imagine that the closing of the yards or shops have to do with the MOW crafts due contracting the work out. Its estimated that around 1300 MOW will be let go. This is the largest craft affected. I'm sure the car department is second on the list. Anyone want to take a guess on what craft is third? Layoffs have started with management first. I am sorry to say that this time around, no one will be recalled back. Keep your heads up and dont look back. Its not worth it!
I’m hearing around 150 management employees across the network were impacted by layoffs today
WARN isn’t required if they’re giving severance pay.
No WARN y'all full of it, not nice
They giving a severance this time?
Just got me on the 5th floor. Lots of tears in the hallways.
Excepted it. So I was ready. Very sad.
It does fall on a warn act but the 9 locations they close probably only have a skeleton crew so they're not gonna have to pay very many people
Does this not fall under the Warn act?
