Thread regarding VMware layoffs

The offers

Will the offers that were already sent out by Broadcom still be valid if the time runs out and the deal has to be renegotiated?

"Once things expire, everything is no longer valid, and that includes the letters."

Read what has been officially shared thus far. Pay attention to the words 'contingent upon' because if and when the deal collapses, then new terms and conditions will be released to all affected employees. Again, be prepared for the worst-case scenario and you won't be disappointed.

They will issue new letters with half the RSUs just to spite you and show you who is boss.

The question is if the deal expires and needs to be renegotiated if I read "time runs out" correctly. As in, there is not another extension. Once things expire, everything is no longer valid, and that includes the letters. At that point, other companies could make bids for VMware or parts other than Broadcom.

OP, would you expand on and confirm what you meant by time runs out?

No they are contingent on the deal going through.
