If you can read, thank a teacher.
If you enjoy your freedom, thank a vet.
If you've been laid off from Terribledata, thank your lucky stars.
You've been asking for divine guidance and now you know how much Terribledata value you. It's su-k what they did but can also count you blessings that you are no longer in a toxic environment. All one would learn there is political posturing and backstabing, not to count how to deceive and string your work team along so managers can enrich themselves.
You will be happier and have less stress not putting on an act to please them doing useless work on something that will never be used by a customer, let alone be a successful product.
The best remedy is to take a breather and go after the next gig and if it's with a competitor, the better.
No worries, the rest of your peers will get their layoff notice the next time. No avoiding it because this place is done.
Good luck all.
