Can anyone speak more in detail about this new signing program? From a previous comment, there are about 50 stores piloting this rigjt now! Thanks!

Like usual, someone in the central office who hasn't worked in a store in so long, their experience is no longer relevant, came up with another hair brained idea to improve service and save money. We rolled out the test without giving the stores time to hire into the added jobs, what a cluster.
Working from homes saves gas but you lose touch with what running stores really entails in today's world. Who comes up with a jacked up idea like this and decides to test it during Q4? All kinds of extra workload, processes that take extra time and effort and yet manage to somehow make the signing look less professional than what we do today. Not sure why this pilot couldn't wait until after the holiday season.
It's a disorganized mess. It was suppose to make it easier but all they've done is made it so much more chaotic and stressful.
And no, it's not role consolidation same team does it.
They did away with the clear sale acetates and general generic signs (40% and $24.99)
Instead it's now an ENTIRE SET of new signs (both percentage % and $ specific- both sizes) for EACH of the big sales. F&F, ODS etc... plus generic signs that have a Sale/Special banner atop it (to replace the acetate) so instead of two buckets for $ and % we now need 10 for all the sales.
And they want all sign holders down when nothing is on sale (like what we were already doing for dresses and mens active) which is another giant waste of time.
They want us to print these signs during the week leading up to the signing days LOL but with 2x trucks we don't have the time.
It's a mess. Back and forth to the printer. Maybe people printing at once. Not finishing before the store opens. Carts messy and disorganized (if you're one of those an organized cart is life people you're in for a sad, frustrating time.
The kicker is some stores are printing in ALL red or black. Which is hilarious when some of the toppers (UYC) are black so the black sign and red topper looks sloppy and d-mb. Not sure how many stores are doing red vs black.
The amount of paper this is wasting is completely disheartening. For them to pride themselves in being such a green company is a complete joke. Sooo much paper wasted.
There's other things wrong with this pilot program- but I think I've given the just of it.
not sure if it'll move forward but I hope not. From what I've heard the feedback has been negative.
Such a shame they made turned an easy process into a joke.
im curious as to what it's all about. more role consolidation or something?
