Because the internal slack channel has become the puppy channel. I get all my information here. Thank you all for your contributions and for maintaining credibility!

It's thelayoff.com not layoff.com
You do realise nothing posted here is true or relevant? Just a bunch of people screaming into the wind about something they have no facts about.
Cheeto eating day drinkers
thats me dude
I'm going to start posting vSphere questions into MAPBU rooms, because apparently that's cool. NSX rooms? Nope, they're food channels now.
Because that's what I want and why can't you just let us have it. We're all stressed and tired, so every room is now an Instagram room. You're a Karen if you disagree.
Do you see how d-mb that sounds? That's how we see you posting pictures of dogs in a channel for Broadcom discussions.
Posting dogs to Broadcom channel
"Ma'am, this is a Wendy's"
I only wish there were more memes here
I think you are projecting. Keep calm
Wow. Touched a nerve. Makes me wish I could post a puppy pic in here. Seriously, if you can't weed through and focus past the "noise", maybe your problem isn't the puppy pics. But sure...come over here to this site and cry more.
Having nothing is better than spam. There were a few legitimate questions posted in between all the cr-p. I don't have the channel muted, because I would like to stay aware of news. I'd rather it be silent all day except for the random questions, even if repeats, than this cr-p.
It's not being a "Karen". You can't just keep calling people who disagree with you Karens. That's such a Karen thing to do.
There is literally nothing to say at this point. No news and any articles discussed are rehashes of earlier articles. Just about everyone is checked out at the moment...waiting to learn their fate. I'm sure the slack channel will get back to being informative when there is something to be informed of, but in the interim, let people blow off some steam and stop being a "Karen".
New to this "internet thing" huh? i absolutely love the fact that after a couple of people posted "Stop", people just drowned the channel in pup pics. look...people are dealing with uncertainty. it su-ks, and everyone deals with it in their own way. the fact is that there is NOTHING else to post about right now. every article/post is just a rehash of earlier articles/posts, and a lot of people are just worried...so do I mind seeing pics from people showing something that makes them happy in a tough time, not one bit.
It has become a useless channel. No real conversations whatsoever
I prefer the linkedin posts and polls over random pictures of someone's personal life.
Either way, the channel is taken over by people who are not tracking what is going on, cannot use search, do not realize answers were already posted mere pixels above their question, and now lack tact while preventing others from getting information. Rather have nothing at all in there.
For the atmosphere and edgy people.
23,000 people in a channel and people wake up thinking "I know, I'll spam all of them with pictures of animals."
What's next, Instagram pictures of your lunch? Your last family vacation? There are over 10,000 Slack channels in VMware. Is it too much to ask that a Broadcom one remain focused on Broadcom?
Love all the righteous channel police there. lol I just posted a puppy just to pi-s you off
