Thread regarding Teradata Corp. layoffs

Caring words ELT used before laying someone off unexpectedly

"You're an important part of our future"
"I've got your back"
"What you're doing is high priority for the company"
"You will thrive in the new role we created for you"
"Trust me"
"You're safe"

Some from recent postings. What else?

This is why I never touch my quarterly connect or required university course trainings this time of year until the last moment. Why waste the time if you might get laid off tomorrow?

But perhaps finishing your quarterly connect already did help you prep your resume if you are unfortunately impacted .

You thank them. They act that way for the sake of brotherhood and humanity . From the death row to the electric chair, really no need to add extra stress to one inmate’s terrible fate. RIP

It doesn’t help in the moment, as I was part of the riff this past June… but life can get better after Teradata. Best of luck to those laid off and much compassion!

Yes, exactly...they have said the same things when they called me this morning to let me know the "difficult decision". I am just wondering - since they have the so called 'Quarterly Connect' process and if there's no red flag there and still they have to layoff why would they have the quarterly process? These guys have these programs as check boxes I guess !!
