Far from over all office jobs are going to be sent out of the country. Ever heard of AI and ChatGPS? No pay for nonhumans soon humans cost too much to employ.
ROFLMAO!!! I'm old enough to remember when those who still had jobs came on here (no sure why as this is 'thelayoff.com') and told those of us that were layed off to "move on" and "deal with the fact you are no longer employees" when we asked questions about paystubs or HR access. Now some of those know-it-alls are going to get a dish of their own medicine....served cold. Wishing you the worst.....
They basically divided up the 5K layoffs into 2 separate groups. The first one in mid August and then a 2nd one last week.
In Hartford, yes. The 5000 already happened.
Not true below poster. There has been chatter about the new layoffs in the news and on LinkedIn.
Those layoffs already happened. CVS is giving 60 days of paid leave and/notice to comply with WARN, separate from severance. The people on my team who were notified in August weren't officially terminated until October.
HARTFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — CVS Health will lay off an additional 70 workers this year in Hartford, according to a document filed with the state last week.
CVS Health had previously filed a WARN Act notice with the Connecticut Department of Labor in August, stating it would lay off 521 employees at its Farmington Avenue facility starting in October.
Monday, the company filed another notice stating that more employees in Hartford would lose their jobs on Dec. 30. The 70 includes some remote workers.
The list includes analysts, an administrative assistant, case managers, database administrators among others.
CVS Health is laying off more than 5,000 positions nationwide.
