Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

When does Broadcom typically do it's annual layoff?

At VMware, we saw a 5-10% cut in headcount every year at the end of Jan/early Feb like clockwork.

Does Broadcom have a similar 'unspoken schedule' where you know there's a certain time (or times) each year that a wave of cuts will come through?

People disappear from here all the time never to be seen or heard from again. Kinda like the Soviet Union.

It seems there is no exact date and is more a question of small adjustments. Apart from the deviations caused by acquisitions, Broadcom is not know for excessive hiring either.

They can have small cuts at random but most cuts (for ex-CA and Symantec) are done around mid and end year ranking exercises June/Sept.
