Assuming that the deal DOES close tomorrow. What time? Will I wake up a Broadcom employee or will I get to enjoy one more day as a VMware employee?

When it happens. That's what time.
You’ll turn into a pumpkin at midnight local time.
It's going to be a paycheck for those that stay, nothing more.
That’s what a job SHOULD be. If your identity revolves around your employer you need a wake up call and many are getting that wake up call tomorrow.
What does it matter? We will be told what we need to be told when we need to be told it.
I heard we might hear something about severance at 8 am. The actual news of the deal closing may happen a little before tho.
My guess, on Monday most employees will wake up wondering why on earth we stuck around to watch this once-great company decline slowly into the graveyard of legacy software vendors that failed to successfully innovate in the cloud as customers moved off-prem.
It's really unremarkable. This is yet another case study for MBA student programs that will study how our inept leadership was unable to adapt to market changes in time to avoid eventual obsolescence. VMW wasn't the first to fall into this trap and it won't be the last.
AVGO may extract cash from the remnants of VMW, but there's very little for VMW employees that could result from the final chapter of this unfortunate story of consistently failed leadership. It's going to be a paycheck for those that stay, nothing more. Sad, but true. Best of luck to you all, wherever your next adventure takes you.
Assumption is the mother of all fu-kups.
6:30am, PT, it will be announced on CNBC
Nobody knows but if you rummage through the copious amounts of bullsh-t , 9am PST seems to appear . I'll believe it when I see it.
