How is BC with WFH exceptions?

I'm listed as a remote employee and got a FTE that states the same but does include the typical "if you live within a 50 mile radius of an office, you may be require to work on site".

I live may 20 minutes from an office with no traffic, but went fully remote during the pandemic. Since then I've been struck with a medical issue that would make it difficult to return to office. Does BC offer exceptions for things like this? I can get doctors notes if needed.
I'm also a senior member of my team if that comes into play at all.

Contract is either remote or office based. If you're a remote worker you have no obligations of attendance. If you're on office worker though, exceptions are almost impossible to get, require extreme situations and leadership approvals. You can skip days but must keep overall quota (including all kinds of leaves) to over 70% attendance. Penalty of failing is disqualification from performance bonuses

If it say’ you’re remote, then you’re remote. The boilerplate clause is meaningless. They put that in every single offer.

The deal is postponed.
All those offers are meaningless.
