so far we didn't see big hit to engineering team since bc is not sure how to do at this time. big hit will come like others mentioned. hate base cut.

The existing engineering are rubbish. No innovation there at all. They need replacing. They are part of the problem. Anytime I asked them to innovate, they came up with some bullsh-t excuse not to do it. They think they are gods and don't like being told the truth either. The product managers are worse and need to go, they are incompetent.
Strange everybody was telling us BCM was supposed to make us rich! Apparently is not the case
The Broadcom compensation model is heavy on stock, which stacks yearly and grows with the market. If VMware was heavy on the base, they probably had to adjust to keep overall compensation reasonable, as they weren't going to scale down VMware stock to keep their base high...
They haven’t offered about 50% engineering yet. Isn’t it? Are you saying they will layoff from the 50% they make an offer?
Yes, the current offer is more like a placeholder. Broadcom has plan to cut a lot later, with even less to pay. Nice play, Hock!
