I’ve been warned by more than 1 coworker to save all important files before Monday, or I will lose them. I have not received a letter, and would prefer not to on board with Broadcom

Email will probably come to your personal account
And singing telegram will come at 11:15am.
Genuine Q.
I get all the saving of all necessary files etc.
But I assume we won't lose access to outlook emails.
Are we supposed to back up years and years of emails? If so how the he-l do we do that?
There is no official news about whether access will be lost. However, one should be PREPARED to lose all access.
My personal view is that access will be lost in a few hours after close, BC will close the transaction at 6:30 AM PST, then they own the company and will execute the standing instructions to turn off access to those they are going to communicate layoff notices throughout the day. Email will probably come to your personal account.
Read the internal email and look at the official Slack channel.
Then resign if you don't want to be here.
Is there any possibility the deal will close on Monday? No news from China.
On Day 1 (Monday or later) you will not be able to use ISB drives on your laptop. That is BC policy. It’s written in the onboarding deck. So before close you should copy your personal files to USB as VMW allows that. Post close you can only upload to Box. You will need IT permission to extract files via USB. So take them out just in case Monday is Day 1. They will push this policy via IT update to your laptop.
Hey, slaves, sh-t the F up, stop with your bïtching, and get back to work.
Don’t make me get the whip out.
"I was told I would lose access Monday."
Who told you that?
You have not received offer letter from Broadcom?
Nothing is going to happen on oct 30th.
China blocked the deal.
It's over.
Really all I’m waiting for is the severance info and how to return my laptop.
☝️ THIS. Me too.
In lieu of a letter, I simply onboarded through the site. I’m all set!
I was told I would lose access Monday. I don’t plan to log on even if it delays for a day. If there is off boarding stuff we need to do, we should get this info via email to our personal account. I may check my work email account from my phone.

and are expected to onboard before Monday.
No, you’re expected to onboard on day 1.
Whether or not you’ve received the letter, you have access to the Broadcom portal, and are expected to onboard before Monday. This has been clearly stated on official and unofficial Slack channels. You have been warned on multiple occasions
Yes, why would you not?
You will of course.
