@cmg+1piUmKQh I’ve been trying to troll the heck out of the media and elected officials all week on the stupid social media platform. No one is biting. Maybe we need more people to do it and like each other…then we can get some attention.

Whomever this was, was doubted and chuckled at last November on this board.
Clearly, they were correct, overall. Just bigger than they even expected.

"“Confirmed by Director today that layoffs are being planned on the fiber and small cell side of the house. SC and F projections for 23 are not good and exec team looking to trim beyond just benefit adjustments.”

Lol sure. Crown is going to double the amount of small cells built in 2023 but they are going to cut a bunch of positions…

To the new hire, if they offer remote don't count t on it. I was offered remote when I got hired and recently told in the last 2 weeks I would need to move to Houston.

@iqi+1piUmKQh they are completely leaving south pointe and will be selling those offices. they told 1300 people to relocate or lose their job by August 2024 which they will then receive their severance (That's if these people don't go looking for a job before then, which I think the company wants so they wont have to pay for relocation or severance as they are in a lot of debt and can't pay back their investors) . it is just a way for the company to layoff all those people without alerting the media and be able to hire college age employees at a lower cost in the Houston area.

I worked there from 2014 to 2020 when I got laid off in November of 2020 after they "promised" there would be no layoffs earlier in that year....honestly best thing that ever happened to me. I still have friends who work there and have been filling me in on all the BS

Dear new hire - we had layoffs and office closures in August. Now they are closing Southpoint and telling 1300 employees to “relocate” or take severance. It’s just a way around announcing another public layoff since obviously 1300 people won’t relocate.
Good luck in your new job. There will be lots of opportunities.

@zuc+1piUmKQh as a potential hire, I have a question. is CCI completely leaving Southpointe Or just reducing? If so why? I understand consolidating excess offices around the country throigh the m&as and all that. But Pittsburgh area is part of the company’s roots. Figured it would make more sense to split functions between Houston & Pittsburgh

Tell that to the 900+ people of Southpointe :)
