Job cuts in LCS

Will we see layoffs in LCS considering Shell just announced their LCS layoff? Oil majors are doubling down on fossil and backing off from renewables. Will the next round of PIP be a way to make room for the refugees from LCS?

Ha! Wish it was that good on the other side of the fence. Shell isn’t giving s**t this time. Minimum statutory severance pay, and the clothes on your back (if you’re lucky). No packages at all, there’s a new Sheriff in town

Shell gives 18 months salary to walk away for long term employees and they walk away with the dignity that they EARNED.

EM, on the other hand, gaslights long term employees by telling them they, after decades of solid performance and tangible contributions, are suddenly sh$t and need to get the he$$ out. They frog march them out the door.

Just because something is legal does not make it ethical, DURWOOD.

LCS is another in the remarkable gallery of the Durwood sh$tshow. It will fail miserably but he will walk out with a net worth > $100 million and his minions with net worth’s > $30 million. They don’t give a sh$t. They GOTS PAID!

OP, as far as I know LCS hasn't made a single dollar for Darren. Not a dime. Absolutely nothing. But, it's already spent five billions. I've only seen Dan shake hands with three other presidents/CEOs closing deals which mean nothing until we get paid. So, for now LCS's been a bad decision made by Darren and his VPs and the investors're paying the price with their pockets. And the excecutives at LCS are there just to collect a paycheck and THEY KNOW IT. As long as money keeps flowing to LCS, these id--ts'll keep getting paid and the investors ripped off.

If you want to know if you are being laid off AKA replaced via SCABS, simply look at XOM JOB postings for the last 3 to 6 months. They are hiring for almost EVERY position here and they will replace YOU, ME and everyone but the Principals etc. You are being replaced!!!!

If you think She’ll is bloated, you need to give your head a shake. They’ve had rolling continuous layoffs for over decade now. At least they give good packages.

One can only hope so.
With very few exceptions, most in XOM LCS (all the way up to the top) are completely useless and carry the banner of entitlement.

A headcount reduction in LCS would affect all groups.

EM Execs would protect their chosen sponsored individuals and move them to all other sectors displacing hard working people that earned their positions.

Shell is super bloated across all their organizations. Speaking with some friends there the internal comms now suggesting folks should be checking skills are externally relevant. These are first hints that cuts are coming…LCS has a new Denbury toy so a few years have been bought before cuts would be considered

Will under the radar restructuring push hundreds of LCS people and supporters back into the core units? I’m afraid some of these people are going to be dead weight if they move back into profit centers. We are already pretty lean and don’t need more people who main talent is navigating company politics.

I’m just surprised that Shell layoffs in the 100s. But I guess their headcount is bigger than ours.
