Do we have to work on Monday? We will know nothing, absolutely nothing for the next 2 months as Broadcom did not inform the work council (CSE) in time... 2 months is the minimum time our council needs to review the plan and counterattack. This will be a very difficult time... I know we should be happy as we are protected. It will take another 6-month minimum as there will be a lawsuit. But what do we do then? Garden leave? This is excruciating now. Merde in France!

I guess you're hoping to be laid off, it can be the only reason you've stuck around over the last 18 months.

France is one of the biggest pains from a process perspective. When they bought Symantec it took half a year to work through the boureaucracy... You'd think it helps employees but it's poison in the end for everyone... So expect a long and painful process ending in some form of trainwreck and you have the government to thank for it. On the bright side, if you have tenure and get a severance offer you will be very rich!
