Thread regarding Staples Inc. layoffs

11.01 Layoffs this year

Good news the layoff are happening next week. The word in HR is about 550 are on the list. I mean did it really feel like 2022 when we went layoff free. Will this make Staples successful I don't think so.
This all across the Staples companies. There was already silent layoffs in Quill and SPP.

Halifax center is being told to work from home tomorrow ( on an in office day) layoffs are definitely coming . This job was great last year. This year its been a nightmare . Even top performers are not making money and we get beat down and told to leave if we don't like it.

Is this happening for both companies? Staples Retail and Staples NAD? Or is it just Staples NAD?

I don't for a second trust this company under the leadership of JL. This is not the Staples that we all use to love and trust. Yeah commissions was great for the past two years or so but that as well has been taken away since it's nearly impossible to make money and goal now. No one is safe!!!

B2b role was fun... now its for the birds. Staples pay is a-s and sycamore can garggle sweaty ba--s. John L is a snake, although sometimes funny when he says crude stuff.

Crooks blaming cheaters cuz a few people took advantage. Hate the player not the game.. constantly reacting won't break the status quo of this trash can leadership.

Be honest. They are the reason why we can't make any money at all. I rather be safe and have a job and then be let go. They are the reasons why we are safe. Unfortunately, MANY did exactly what they did but were not caught. Just focus on new masters and building new revenue like it was pre covid.

Many leaders in other parts of the business that came from B2B as hailed successes cheated. They bragged about it. When the axe came down on this they were happy they had other roles so they sat out of harms way. Inclusive of AVP’s directors and sellers. RG and HG just two examples.

Completely agree with everything the one person said. The B2Bs that got fired, stop playing the victim. You ruined it for the hard working ones. You’re the reason we’re not allowed to create our own opps anymore without permission or go after new masters without it having to basically be spoon fed to us.

Who were the people that ruined it? We were doing what we were asked.

Hahaha for the person saying they were axed because you were “paid too much”, no you and others weren’t. You got fired because you cheated. You cheated to keep those commission checks high. Created ship tos to avoid baseline and attached yourself to everything. You cheated got caught and was fired. For the leaders that knew about it and let it happen, you cheated too. Paid too much my a$$. Reps leaders and AVPs got what you deserved. ESP because everything was ran around what “you” did and the worst part…you ruined it for hard working people that were doing things the right way. You cheaters ruined it for everyone. Greedy money hungry humans that cared about their pocket books and not anyone else. Greed greed greed greed. Everyone knows who it was…

Will this affect the B2B Division? Great people and leaders were axed in September. I personally know several, “ethics” being apart of it was BS. If you don’t personally know them, don’t comment like you do. Look at the forest, not the trees, they are letting go those paid the highest in the company. Is SP hitting a debt ceiling? Job security is sadly no longer based on tenure and performance at Staples.
