Thread regarding Broadcom Corp. layoffs

I joined Broadcom less than a year ago

Should I be worried about the VMware acquisition? Are any of Broadcom employees ever cut in situations like this one or is it always just people from the company that is being bought? I'd just like to know how worried I should be in the next few weeks before all of this is settled.

If you joined one year ago, your division has nothing to do with VMWare. Whatever are the plans for VMWare should not impact your org.
The recent reality has shown that no company will never fire. It is a myth that died. See the thousands of redundancies this year and the rehiring too.

Bcom is always "adjusting" "reorging". The ground is never solid under you. Your life's homework is to recognize that anyway and enjoy the dance . Today you are alive and working. That's a gift

In general BCRM will try to “clean up” the incoming org and not mix those two things.
