Boeing Says It Can’t Make Money With Fixed-Price Contracts

"Rest assured we haven't signed any fixed-price development contracts,
nor intend to."

Boeing released its third-quarter results on Wednesday,
and there were promising numbers showing increasing revenues
and narrowing losses as the multinational corporation continues its
economic recovery after the mare than 7 years of gross negligence that drove
the company into the ground.

Now however, amid these improving results, Boeing's financials continued
to be dragged down by its Defense, Space & Security division.
This division, which includes missile production for the military and space activities
such as satellites and the Starliner spacecraft, lost $1.7 billion during the first three quarters of this year if we can believe their accounting.

In a conference call with analysts on Wednesday, Boeing's chief executive,
David L. Calhoun, and chief financial officer, Brian West,
expressed disappointment in these results from the defense and space division.
They reiterated their goal of returning the company's defense and space businesses
to profitability by the 2025 to 2026 period.
👉 Who in their right mind believes that,
these lying dirt bags want invertors to believe we are going to sell enough units
to earn 1.7 billion dollars (In Profit) to make up for this One projects losses.
This is Gaslighting at the highest level, don’t believe your lying eyes!!!

what do you call an incompetent corporation, answer, Boeing

This will all be in the 2024 contract negotiations. Your union reps will come back to tell you all, either take or leave it. Boeing is cutting more benefits & jobs to still be at a loss. My advice would be to hurry up get that OT & pay off that lifted truck & boat. Because by next year you’re going to be selling to put food on the table for your family.

Can't compete and make a profit as an engineering company if you don't have great engineers and engineering managers. Boeing tossed all that for nepo executive bonuses. It would take decades to remedy that...so it won't be happening.

It really tells you how ridicules this company is managed when they charge the government crazy inflated prices and yet they still can't make a profit.
I bet they can cut at least 25% of the salary workforce and not even notice it.
