China is going to sink the whole thing.

You still going to see layoffs. Just on paper with a different letterhead ... Amazing how many people are naive thinking if / when China says suddenly everything goes back to normal.

In fact, we have lost true talent merely through the announcement alone. Place hasn't been the same for 18 months.

In fact, I have been working for VMware 11 years and have just signed a new offer from another company. And that job search alone took me nearly six months. I ALMOST feel sorry for the people that waited and hoped to get to stay on, just to think their severance will be enough to see them through the job search.

Anyway, I am outta here ....

Look at the stock price, that tells you everything. It’s night in China now so nothing will happen today.

Ya but how much business does BROADCOM get from China? Way more than we do.

For the amount of business revenue VMW gets from China. I wouldn’t be surprised if Broadcom doesn’t just shutdown its China operations and the problem around getting approvals from them is solved.

China is going to sink the whole thing. That's why all the offers have stopped. People are on here saying that hock is proceeding anyway with absolutely no evidence and there are plenty of articles saying China could possibly sink it. If people don't have proof that hock is proceeding without China, please keep your opinions to yourselves .
