I hate to be the one to break it to you but there's an entire, literal world outside of US West coast. There are people, and they work, and they live their lives! And, sometimes, their lives even have impact on you.
That's midday in Europe, end of the working day in India and start of the working day in Brazil... make of that what you wish!
