Don’t understand what “leaders” think they’re doing

Probably just depends which pocket of the company you're in. My guess is they have a very strategic plan in place and will keep enough on to not hemmorhage money while starting the process of phasing out big parts of the business. I think they will do away with insurance all together, but before that happens use as much AI and overseas staff as possible while still maintaining staffing here which will get more and more poorly treated and over worked while the AI and overseas ops improves enough to take over as much as possible. I think this will go on for years. Maybe 2 maybe 5 who knows but eventually the company will probably be home health care related, no insurance side, and maybe mail order pharmacy as well as practices like oak Street. They're probably preparing for universal healthcare and no insurance anyway in the not too distant future. I'm sure companies this big know what's coming regarding these things so they're in the beginning stages of their plan. Probably started with the sale to CVS in the first place. The whole country is going to sh-t and they will do what's best to make money like everyone else….further worsening the sh-t storm. Greed and prioritizing of money over human well being will be humanities ultimate downfall. This is just one small example. So many other companies just like it. Totally lost what they started out to do, workers treated poorly, underpaid and abused equals product being sold becoming inferior and worthless. If you look at some of the past CEOs and CFOs and research what they brought to the company and then what they did after leaving it helps you see the big picture more clearly. Most leaders are just blind but there is a plan. Has been for a lonnnng time.

None of these answers are correct. Severance is based on years of service and job tier. Go here and look at page 12 for the correct answer:

Severance is now 1 week for every year of service. So you'd get 5 weeks severance. Pre CVS Aetna provided 2 weeks for every one year of service but that changed 5 years ago. Your medical dental and vision will run out the end of the month so you will need to obtain cobra or your own insurance.

There will be a significant amount of layoffs here and there until March 2024, then CVS will phase out parts of Aetna and also offshore a lot of work. If you're an Aetna employee, I'd be highly surprised if you have a job this time next year.
