Thread regarding DIRECTV layoffs

Layoffs!!!!!

Kern county just announced they are laying off 2 techs. In our shop we are going to only have 12 techs left and we still only average 4 to 7 jobs a day and mostly service calls.

Seems like the people that actually keep the company together and bring in revenue or keep existing customers are the first to go.

The suits, overpaid and paper pushers, on the other hand have it easy and just report what's going on are all taken care of.

Time to trim the top...starting at the very top.

Our shop in California lost two - we have gone from over 50 guys down to 10 so far in the last 4 or 5 years. Hearing another round likely come January as this cut-back was only to pay for the Nexstar contract.

Just hang until the wheels fall off and then collect unemployment.
