You can't seriously be thinking there's a way in which this doesn't happen. Too much has been done to make this acquisition work, too much money is involved, and too much time has passed to have it fail now. I know some people are grasping for straws right now, but you're only doing yourself a disservice if you convince yourself this is not happening.

Nobody gives a sh-t about china
It's totally fine to operate as two standalone companies in China.
And / or pay off some officials ... As much as we hate the whole thing ... and HT / MD especially - they aren't stupid. They haven't made billions by bending over easily.
The deal can't go through.

They just will split off the Chinese entity and proceed with the deal.

There's no way for BC to go through the deal when China is trying to ruin that deal. China has a very good reason to block it. The deal can't go through.
