Many in the US got letters at the same time (7 AM Eastern, 4 AM Pacific). Those who didn’t are left wondering.
If you're a VMW employee, then you know you can just search channels for "broadcom". It's one of the largest channels in the entire company.

Got my letter at 4am MDT. The offer is pathetic. Only given 3 days to resign if I want severence. Offer is only good if deal closes on October 30th. Deal can't close because China hasn't approved.

The lack of communications this morning anywhere tells me the letters haven't materialized via email.
I would expect offer letters to come with a phone call to answer any initial questions and reconfirm the nature of the NDAs.
I would expect layoff notices to be delayed officially until close of the acquisition. Seeing absolutely no momentum anywhere tells me someone pulled the plug on the monday blue's clues skit.
I was told by my leadership I was getting an offer....still no offer yet. Did anyone say the method of delivery?
I love how people make up excuses for Broadcom/VMware’s handling of the notification. I can only say they won’t be giving you much leeway when you sc--w up in your own job responsibilities.

Sending 35k messages in a day isn’t high volume. They have had 1.5 years to prepare for this moment.
They definitely messed up mine four years ago. It happens. They didn’t have a year and a half to prepare, the team that does it probably had about as much notice as you did.

Letters will begin to released this morning in the US for some. Due to the sheer quantity, letters will roll out in phases throughout the week. Hang in there everyone!
Unfortunately only some parts of the company will get the letters now. Others like Ireland and the UK will get it after the 30th.
To anyone that's going to get letters in the next number of weeks, good luck with your future.
