Deal is not closing on Monday after all. Seems like all the so-called experts were wrong. Shocking.

Suspension is a first step toward delist, but isn't the delist. Suspension can be reversed and the stock can resume. It will be an interesting week.

He’s already made concessions business wise because SAMR was ready to approve. Are you suggesting he has the power to make political concessions too?

Hock will try to make concessions with the Chinese, just like he did with EU regulators.

Let's wait and see where this ongoing fiasco ends...

Chinese law doesn't allow companies to close mergers with more than $55M in revenue in China, without SAMR approval. If they still close without approval, the penalty is 10% of global revenue on an ongoing basis. BC makes 1/3rd of their rev in China.

SAMR said they have to consult with the Foreign Ministry and State Council before signing off.

Do you really think any of those govt entities gives 2 sh--s about MD, Tan, or BC's deadlines?

This does not mean anything. It will change on Monday.
The biggest indication the of deal not happening is Broadcom has not send official offer letters to VMware folks, that was supposed to happen starting from oct 16th.
China blocked the deal.
Its over.

I believe people were saying Seeking Alpha was fake news, so this is right from the source.

No info from BC is BAU.

Now shut the F up and get back to work.

That is the way, the BC way.

It's a shame people have to scour the Internet for clues to what is going on like Sherlock Holmes while BC can't be transparent with the employees 10 frigging days before close. This shows you how BC operates. Better off without them.

It's pending because it's on their "todo" list. Yes, anything can be "adjusted" but issuing such a notice is a major step as it informs all investors so reversing can cause a lot of confusion and potentially also open up for lawsuits if investors claim they were misled.
