Thread regarding Altice USA (Cablevision) layoffs

Altices best bet is to probably partner with charter or comcast

Customers deserve a better fiber roll out and customer service base. I hear all the time that when they call they cant get the right info , get hung up on, etc.

Altice has absolutely no financial backing, Investors are done , Banks, Customers, Employees that are even left don’t care because they know the day is coming!!

PD can not sell, (for the price he wants) he is too heavily in debt. The Suddenlink markets were for sale but all offers were rejected and my speculation is because the offers were at or maybe even less than what PD paid for Suddenlink. Altice took over day to day operation of SL at the end of 2015 and the Cablevision deal was completed not long after that and in short order both companies were literally ran into the ground. Any cable operator now knows the Cablevision and Suddenlink systems would cost a fortune to bring back up to the standards they had under their previous owners in order to gain back customers, customers who are now gone for good. In my opinion the only way I see these markets being sold to anyone would be for pennies on the dollar given the conditions they are in today. Knowing the arrogance of PD I can see him letting AUSA burn down around him before he sold for one dime less than he wants.

Not so sure about "partnering" but everything has a price for a sale if it's low enough. When the business is sufficiently desperate they might accept a bargain basement bid from a Comcast or Charter.
