Is the deal over? or just delayed?
Can they close without China's approval?
Not yet. It's a possibility but hasn't been determined if it well affect the timeline Broadcom wants to follow if it is. Yes, but it could result in fines or worst lose of business in China. Not sure if Hock will risk it, he might. There doesn't seem to be any legal issues, so Hock I attempting to persuade the deal benefits China.
