Broadcom doesn't do events. No "extra" things. No Take 1, No EPIC values, No sabbaticals, no travel, no Foundation, no Club.
You get paid, you work.

PA employees are special, you aren’t. When will you ever learn?

Yeah - how about sending the rest of the employees who couldn't attend something in the amount of what they spent for the PA area employees?

It was definitely a bittersweet email, but had it not been for that team, the Broomfield site would've been like all the other non-8 sites that held a Mega Bash, hence it was called a Broomfield Celebration and not a Bash.

Executive leadership definitely displayed some poor optics by hosting an exclusive event for the select population of VMware employees while also violating the EPIC2 values they tout with prizes and gifts, confirmed by APAC employees at the Bangalore office.

Thankfully, there are still individuals who have the genuine passion to try to ensure there is a bit of equity at Broomfield when compared to other Mega Sites with the Summer Picnic, Chili Cook-off and other meaningful events.

The email referenced was just a basic, to the point email. Can you not argue that it is the last event under the VMware name? The budget is quarterly and as many BUs are aware, Q4 is a wildcard at this point post close. All funds for events were exhausted and it's good to know it was spent celebrating some of the best of Broomfield.

It would've been a real bummer had the Chili Cook off not happened and it is something that takes a little effort and is cost effective, so if it is just lean enough, Broadcom might allow it next year...

Broadcom has an office in Broomfield already. I’m guessing one of the Broomfield offices would close at some point.

Much of the VMware Broomfield office is GSS (Support), which I understand Broadcom largely contracts out.

Last, does Broadcom even do office events? If they do, I’m speculating they would just use their existing events staff.
