Fossil’s reputation is getting damaged because of poor management. Decisions being made are contrasting with our core values, causing confusion among customers and tarnishing our public reputation. Sadly, it doesn't seem like things will improve under this bad leadership. The most significant error in Fossil's history - the 'Connected' initiative. The second major blunder - reliance on consultants!

If you think the company wasn’t bet on the katchin phrase think again. Konstantinos hired a consultant as leader based on a theory on exploiting data that collapsed before fossil even dipped its toe in thanks to GDPR, CCPA and CPRA exploiting data becomes more untenable as AI tries to make personal decisions for customers.
I agree Katchin was a disaster and a bad idea but at least we did not bet the company on it and lied to ourselves like we did with Smartwatches for 5 years!
I am not sure about the comment regarding "core values" - the smartwatch disaster for sure was inconsistent but at least now we are trying to sell fashion watches again! whether people want them or not is another issue...but i feel the strategy is closer to the original positioning than it has been in years, since TK left.
A colossal disaster thanks to Jolly Holly
Sure, and Katchin was a real winner, and practically paid for itself .
